Join local historian Rebecca Yerger for this historical exploration of Napa Valley's women who dared to step into the limelight to express their political point of view.
This Women's History Month presentation will highlight a cross-section of local women from Napa County's past, including Electa Burnell Hartson, a proper yet outspoken Victorian wife, mother and feminist who spearheaded the local suffrage movement of the late 1800s and Addie Billings, a quiet and shy Calistoga area grape grower, wife and mother who reluctantly spoke out against Prohibition.
