Join artist Terese Edestam for a hands-on art-making experience inspired by Mike Henderson’s dynamic painting Prime Time (1998), part of the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art’s collection.
This engaging workshop will begin with a group discussion about Henderson’s work, exploring its expressive abstraction, layered textures, and deep connections to music, sound, and inner emotional landscapes.
Participants will then create their own abstract compositions using shapes, selected colors, and textured techniques in acrylic paint, taking cues from Henderson’s approach to rhythm, space, and improvisation.
Open to all adults (16+), from beginners to experienced artists, this series invites you to explore, create, and share your artistic journey in a welcoming space.
