Prepare for the unexpected!

Learn the fundamentals of renter's insurance policies, including the typical coverage and exclusions, as well as options for additional coverage such as earthquake and flood insurance.

Our presenters will also review the claims process and define key insurance terms, utilizing information from Napa Valley COAD and United Policyholders, a non-profit "whose mission is to be a trustworthy and useful information resource and a respected voice for consumers of all types of insurance across the United States."

Miguel Ángel Castañón and Peter Hederia from the Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (Napa Valley COAD) will be presenting. Napa Valley COAD develops and enhances partnerships for communication, coordination, and collaboration among the whole community, including non-profit and faith-based organizations, government agencies, and the private sector during all phases of disaster.
