The Lawyers in the Library program offers free appointments with local attorneys volunteering to answer legal questions.
20-minute appointments are available to Napa County residents or those with a case in the Napa County courts on a first come, first serve basis.
Attorneys offer legal information only. They do not provide specific legal advice and should not be considered personal lawyers. Participants sign a waiver stating the consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Sign up in-person 30 minutes before the program starts. Space is limited.
Language translation services are not available for this program; participants are welcome to bring their own interpreter. Participants may also bring support persons, family members, or other affiliated persons to meet with the attorney together.
Lawyers in the Library is offered in partnership with Napa County Library, the Napa County Law Library, the Napa County Bar Association, and the Napa County Library Foundation.
