The Memory Lab is a free, do-it-yourself space for making high-quality digitized personal archive collections.
The Memory Lab at the Napa County Library consists of two digitization stations. One station is for scanning photographs, slides, negatives, and flat documents. This station can also digitize information from 3.5” floppy disks. The second station is for videotape transfers on VHS, S-VHS, and VHS-C.
This event listing is for the VHS digitizing station. For video transfer please bring a flash drive that is at least 32GB or an external hard drive that is 1 TB.
The transfer of copyrighted materials using the Memory Lab is prohibited by law. Exceptions to the unlawful transfer of copyrighted materials may apply when the user obtains permission from the copyright holder or the transfer is for fair use purposes.
